The history of PRO-MAR S.A. dates back to the mid-90s, when Mr. Mariusz Jedrzej Swies, the company's president and main shareholder, decided to extend his business activities into the field of metallurgic production after many years of experience in the metallurgic industry backed up with successes in trade. As a result, the company PPHU PRO-MAR S.C. started its operations on 1st February, 1999. The company's rapid growth and constantly improving market position enabled a transformation of the family business into a joint-stock company, which took place on 17th January, 2003. From this moment on, the company has been implementing a Plan of Development, and is successively preparing for future investments. Purchasing the company Energomontaz-Zachod Poznan Sp. z o.o. along with its infrastructure, which would soon become the site of Pro-Mar S.A. headquarters, was the crowning achievement of that period. In addition to its headquarters in Poznan, the company has branches located in the main industrial centres of Poland - Warsaw and Chorzow. The company's current scope of operation primarily consists of purchasing, storing and trading metallurgic and forging materials of domestic origin, as well as those from EU and Asia. Additionally, we engage in production and provide services in the areas of drawing, open-die steel forging, and flame and plasma cutting up to a height of h=300 mm using own or consigned plates. We are also proud to inform that since 2006, PRO-MAR S.A. is a member of the prestigious Network of Cooperation Between the Research and Development Sector and Enterprises in the Field of Plastic Working. It is an organization working at The Department of Plastic Forming of The Institute of Materials Technology of the Poznan University of Technology. Its main goals are supporting and co-financing innovative solutions introduced by the industry leaders. From its beginnings, PRO-MAR S.A. has been conducting an effective quality policy, putting a high standard of products and services, constant staff training and customer satisfaction as priorities. These objectives were written down in the Quality Manual and approved in an audit, thanks to which the company received the ISO 9001:2000 certificate. The second line of company development relies on the constant improvement of company organization, achieved through the introduction of the latest information technologies.
